Anti-mullerian hormone (AMH) is a hormone produced by the cells in an ovary's follicles. Follicles are tiny fluid-filled sacs inside the ovary that contain and release eggs. AMH provides insight into a woman's ovarian reserve—or the number of eggs she has remaining. The level of AMH in a woman's body can provide valuable information about her reproductive health.
